How we compare. "Integrated stove" means an all-in-one canister system where the pot attaches to the burner; "bare burner" is a screw-on burner with no pot. Ranges reflect popular current models in each category. Weights are full trail weight (burner, pot, lid, insulating sleeve, and pot supports) from makers' published specs. The Backpacker is 9.2 oz (260 g). Specs checked July 2026.

Every ounce earns its place.
The Backpacker was designed around what people actually need outdoors: lightweight performance, dependable durability, and enough capacity to cook for the group. At 9.2 oz, it is one of the lightest fully integrated backpacking stove systems built around a real 1.2 L pot.
No feature bloat. No unnecessary complexity. Just thoughtful engineering, versatile performance, and everything you need to cook wherever adventure takes you.
Engineered for years of adventure.
The Backpacker pairs lightweight performance with durable materials chosen for repeated use outdoors. Its hard-anodized aluminum pot resists corrosion and everyday wear, while the stainless steel, brass, and aluminum burner components are built to handle repeated heating and cooling cycles. The aluminum heat exchanger improves efficiency without adding unnecessary weight.
Before the first production run, founder John Peretti personally bench-tested burner heads and heat exchangers against Coastal Range performance standards. The result is a 5,900 BTU/hr integrated stove system that can boil approximately 23 liters of water on a full 230 g fuel canister under test conditions.
Built for dependable use and backed by our 3-Year Limited Warranty.
